June Retail Sales Jump 1.1 Percent

Mexican retail sales jumped by a seasonally-adjusted 1.1% in June, after a 0.2% advance during May and a 0.3% decline in April.  On an unadjusted, constant-price basis, sales in June were up a strong 5.4% from the same month one year earlier.

May Retail Sales Rise 0.2 Percent

Mexican retail sales rose by a seasonally-adjusted 0.2% in May, erasing part of their unrevised 0.3% decline in April.  On an unadjusted, constant-price basis, sales in May were up a healthy 4.1% from the same month one year earlier.  It appears that demand will continue to expand at a good pace in the near term.

April Retail Sales Fall Modestly

Mexican retail sales fell by a seasonally-adjusted 0.3% during April, after unrevised increases of 0.2% in March, 0.5% in February, and 2.1% in January.  On an unadjusted, constant-price basis, sales in April were up a healthy 4.6% from the same month one year earlier.

March Retail Sales Rise 0.2 Percent

Mexican retail sales rose by a seasonally-adjusted 0.2% in March, after unrevised increases of 0.5% in February and 2.1% in January.  On an unadjusted, constant-price basis, sales in March were up a healthy 5.5% from the same month one year earlier.

February Retail Sales Rise 0.5 Percent

Mexican retail sales rose by a seasonally-adjusted 0.5% in February, after an unrevised increase of 2.1% in January.  On an unadjusted, constant-price basis, sales in February were up a strong 5.6% from the same month one year earlier.
