Fixed Investment Takes a Breather

Gross fixed investment in Mexico fell by a seasonally-adjusted 0.9% in May, after revisions showed a 0.4% rise in April and a 4.0% jump in March.  Investment in May was up 2.3% from the same month one year earlier.

Fixed Investment Rises Further

Gross fixed investment in Mexico rose by a seasonally-adjusted 0.4% in April, after a revised 4.1% increase in March and a 3.8% decline in February.  Fixed investment in April was up 5.3% from the same month one year earlier.

Fixed Investment Rebounds Strongly in March

Gross fixed investment in Mexico jumped by a seasonally-adjusted 4.0% in March, erasing its 3.8% plunge in February and reaching a new record high.  On an unadjusted basis, fixed investment in March was up 6.6% from the same month one year earlier.

February Fixed Investment Drops Sharply

Gross fixed investment in Mexico plunged by a seasonally-adjusted 3.8% during February, easily wiping out its revised 1.8% gain in January and marking its worst drop since the end of 2012.  Fixed investment in February was up just 1.3% from the same month one year earlier.

January Fixed Investment Rises 1.5 Percent

Gross fixed investment in Mexico rose by a seasonally-adjusted 1.5% during January, erasing its revised 0.8% decline in December.  On an unadjusted basis, January fixed investment was up a healthy 7.3% from the same month one year earlier.

December Fixed Investment Drops 1.0 Percent

Gross fixed investment in Mexico fell by a seasonally-adjusted 1.0% during December, but the decline reversed only a portion of the revised increases of 0.5% in November and 1.6% in October.  Investment in December was up 5.5% from the same month one year earlier.
